It needed to be a family house, not an army house. Located within a streetscape of houses built by the army in the 1930’s to display the various options available for the officer class, this original single storey family home was modest but well constructed.
A later addition in the 1970’s was less sound and beginning to show its age. The project brief was to create additional bedroom and living accommodation with spaces that were bright, clean and contemporary.
